Penny Streeter's Vision
In 2016, when fate guided Penny Streeter OBE to the gates of Leonardslee. Penny was inspired by the landscape’s latent potential, she envisaged a new era for Leonardslee, marrying traditional English elegance with the robust vitality of the vine.
The Vineyards Flourish
The vineyards at Leonardslee were planted in 2017. These vineyards, spanning across two distinct sites—including a 3.1-acre parcel adjacent to Leonardslee House within Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens and a larger expanse alongside Leonardslee Wine Estate—showcase a variety of grape types destined for both traditional English wines.
The passion for the estate was palpable, further nurtured by Penny’s son Adam and his wife Beth, who became integral to the estate’s ongoing story, deepening the family’s roots in the land with each season.

The artistry of our wines is shepherded by Johann Fourie and Barry Anderson, our esteemed winemaker & viticulturist.
